feel the bile
i felt the bile rise up today, and yesterday. the bile of aggravation, and
frustration, hiopelessness and despair whilst waiting for a computer or
a piece of software or a piece of hardware to just fucking work. the
aggravation transfers to other objects. i couldn’t get the fucking bag of
bacon to open as indicated on the bag. peel here to open, i think it said.
nothing doing. no way to separate the heads of plastic. “open!” i
implored. “OPEN!” eventually the bacon bag was opened. i got my 4 strips
of extra thick cut oscar meyer. but as i try to re-energize my
computer-related pursuits i find the constant altercations with inferior
wares is more of an aggravation than it ever used to be.
i was looking at maps this morning. maps of other cities, other towns,
other places. detroit looked like a wilderness to me, from 50,000 feet.
maybe i’ll move there.
i have the freedom to move where i please, to live where i can. why not
take that opportunity, while i can? before responsibility enters into my
days, and the fading vigors of youth disappear from my stride.
i spent the last few days looking into other ventures, other ways to make
a buck here or there. my investment philosophy is the same as my
livelihood philosophy. don’t try to turn $10k into $50k. Try to turn $1
into $1.50. Rinse, lather, repeat, repeat, repeat.
