old old graves
today i was out at calvary again, looking up names and graves from the 1870s. it was fun this time. i almost cursed at a self-absessed asshead who thought i was intruding on his personal space, but it led to me ask, who the fuck goes to calvary for peeaceful respite? it must be the noisiest cemetery in the 5 boroughs. if you want some peace and/or silence go to mt. lebanon. it is so quiet there you can hear your bones age.

ah, i see, it simply attaches the message. that’s all good, i guess. this is .mobi rising, so i suppose i have things to learn and manipulate.
i always meant to put the mobile site on its own domain, and what better use for a .mobi than content which comes purely from a obile device. aha, because .mobi was kind of a fraud… or a boondoggle, at least. i remember clicking through .mobi sites on my Treo in 2005 and feeling like this was .com 1995 revisited. the same style of content backwash and incoherent corporate wasteland. though .mobi was somewhat less earnest in its corporateness, less of an obvious target of attack for lightly-trained interns and summer school help. there was genuine stuff out there, but not so much.
