i finally figured out how to do some things that had been on my mind, useless flourishes, but amusing. i can post strraight from MS word to my web servers. hoo ray.and i can print documents from this cell phone, this android device, this mini computer with telephone features. when are we going to stop calling these things phones? “smartphone“ is too deliberate, with undue emphasis on the phone portion of the featurebloat. anyway, the posting from Word to web site is kinda cool, though at the moment the output is a little hairy, but i‘ll figure that out. i don‘t need elegance of HTML for this, as it‘s meant to be a casual and insane. printing stuff from this device is not handy while at home but if i can print to the home computer from anywhere on the internet then that‘ll work out. oh yeah. i waited all day fro USPS to show up, only to wake up from my presumptive slumber at around 5pm to the revelation that they are unlikely to deliver. they never do any more. a package was lost a couple of months ago, and another was returned to senddeer after they ignored my repeated requests for redelivery. yesterday, the post office was closed. wtf was that? no explanation, just a sign that said “post office is closed“. i don‘t think i have ever seen that. boo hoo. well, it really was kind of jarring. alienating. anyway, today was end-to-end failure. everything i did turned to mud, and rust. save for the word-to-web server thing, but that‘s kids stuff. i don‘t even feel like being awake at this moment. yesterday i got a new camera at b&h. lumix panasonic zs7. so small. i had to send the dslr back to sony for to get the shutter button replaced or fixed, and i needed a new shoint&poot so this was a good occasion to do that. oh yeah. my life feels vacant as a flailing comma right now.
