i think the crossroads is met. next year, 0-Ten, 2010, is going to be ugly. restless and smart people will be kicked out of their window offices and onto the streets downstairs. skillless save for editorial copysight, careers vanquished to comment boards and communally vacuous mindfucks, bitter futures sent angling into BYO cocktail parties and middle-aged comeuppances unknown to the “everyone buys books” advice that sent these still-haughty barflies to expensively scholarshipped privilege programs, which sent them from dormitoried lilypads in Ohio, New York, and Massachusetts into air-conditioned platters of superior ease in midtown Manhattan.
