I have been running around Midtown today and yesterday. Doing this, un-doing that. Yesterday I had a breakthrough question for myself. A shocker, even. On Broadway by the Letterman theater I asked my bad self: Are you doing this for a living? This?”
This is all I do. This. And what else is there? There will be other things but for now there is this. I am having fun with it. Fun with this. It might even be time to make a name for myself.

Today I remembered some self-contained hilarity from a couple of years ago. Sitting at a newly-opened Starbucks I was looking around when 4 overweight women and men entered the place with $3,000 DSLRs around their neck and $2,000 laptops in their $800 leather bags. I laughed and said “Oh look, the bloggers have arrived.” The bloggers turned out in force to cover the extraordinary event of a Starbucks opening in New York City. A dozen or more hypesters with their Nikons and Canons, snapping pictures of the place and blogging hard, outnumbered the paying customers (as they often do).
It made me laugh. Then as now, I laughed.
Today I wished I had a thousand lifetimes. Or at least 5 more chances to get this right.
