sending this to say something but also to see if the upgrade worked, see if the computer ate my homework, see if the fuses burned my memory, incinerated my thought.
i decided that the eerie hearse that appeared outside on saturday was just there as a bizarre coincidence. pretty flippin’ weird but i don’t think there’s a connection to the events of the previous day. it just doesn’t make sense. i imagined that possibly the hearse was going to a funeral service and the driver of the hearse was waiting for people from this apartment building to follow him. but that just didn’t make sense.
i now have 2 copies of “Thus Spake the Corpse, An Exquisite Corpse Reader, Volume 2 – Fictions, Travels & Translations.” I ordered volume 1 and volume 2 from 2 separate amazon.com sellers but the seller form whom i ordered volume 1 sent me volume 2, so now i have 2 copies of this large volome of widely varying quality.
i submitted poetry to the “Exquisite Corpse” back in the day, but everything i sent was rejected. worse, it was ignored (“Exquisite Corpse” was a literary magazine, its name based on the title of a Surrealist manifesto). i never even got rejection notices or any acknowledgement that my crap was good for anything more than a grunting chuckle.
